The San Francisco Biosciences Task Force which was created by Board of Supervisors, is charged with making policy recommendations regarding the biosciences industry for consideration by the Planning Commission and the Board of Supervisors. The director of the Environmental Health Section participates as a non-voting member of the Task Force in order to support research and review of aspects of the industry relating to land use and health and safety. The Section has researched regulations applicable to the Biosciences Industry and best practices with regards to regulations.
